Get More Light In The Afternoon
Hey, how’s your music listening going? If you didn’t do it, it’s alright, you can find some time for it today. It pairs well with today’s light tool.
Light is one of the strongest levers for improving mental and physical health. Imagine a world without light. You wouldn’t see. Your screen has no brightness. And everything is dark 🔮🔮. That’s not cool.
Now I won’t tell you to get outside more and blah blah. If it were that simple, you’d do it. Instead, try to find an activity you can do outside. Things like calls, breaks, or lunch. Here’s why.
A study showed that viewing more light, especially at noon, leads to increased pain tolerance, more happiness, and a better ratio of testosterone and estrogen.
This means that when you’re 60, you will handle more pain. Your joints will be healthier. Your skin will be healthier. And because of the testosterone changes, you’ll have a strong drive for life (and high libido too!)
So , what's something you usually do that you could try bringing to the sunshine? Here are a few examples.
Read a new book / Have meetings (virtual or in-person) / Eat lunch (your meal or restaurant) / Or listen to your favorite songs for a 2-in-1
Just do what you already do and make it outside.
Alright, reread the example or commit to something on your own. Anything works .
