Prioritize 1 goal

Huberman studied all the goals literature and worked with top goal-hitters for decades. His #1 advice for hitting goals: prioritize 1 goal.

Most people who are trying to achieve many goals simultaneously fail at all of them.

This is what I call the overhaul approach. When people think okay, you know in January 1 or next month or next week, I'm going to start exercising, meditating. learn a language learn to dance… I'm going to do all these different things. That's just too many goals.

You should prioritize. A priority literally means one thing that you place ahead of all others. Of course you don't let go of other aspects of your mental health and physical health and throw your life away in service to this one goal goal.

But you should spend some serious time defining that one priority that one goal for this initial goal setting.

So if you took all your attention and put it only on one goal. You’re more likely to succeed.

okay, now use this tip.

What’s the most important goal you should accomplish by the end of this month (or the next few months)?

Think about your health, career, relationships, happiness, or learning goals. If you could only achieve one in this time period. Which would it be?

Really think about this now…

Knowing it makes it more likely you attain it.

And, think about the action step you can take today for this goal.

Think about this now…

Knowing it makes it more likely you attain it.

Great! Now you have clarity.

Focus on your priority goal.
