Get Quality Social Connection

Based on the longitudinal study from Harvard, as well as the Yale happiness project and the work of numerous laboratories in the US and elsewhere, that quality social connection is extremely powerful in terms of its ability to increase our levels of happiness.

Yes, I know it's obvious. But it's a good reminder for us to socialize enough this weekend. Interestingly, this doesn't mean you need to have deep conversations.

In fact, in this clip, Andrew mentions how trivial conversations and interacting with strangers/acquaintances has many positive effects. This is through neural circuits that activate upon recognizing other human faces and making eye contact.

Actions you can try: push yourself to have a chat with the barista or someone in line, block 2-3 hours to meet up with friends on Saturday, reach out to someone you miss, spend more time with your s.o.

Reader, quick question, do you prefer having an e-book/list of all the tools with descriptions and timestamps instead of the daily newsletter? Let me know by replying to this email. Just a simple 'yes, i prefer that' or 'no, newsletter is better'. I want to make this more valuable to you and other members. Thanks.
