Why you forget things
+how to starting remembering them
When you fire a pattern of neurons at roughly the same time, they will strengthen their connections. So when A connects to B, the connection ‘A-B’ gets stronger. This creates what we call a memory.
The stronger the connection, the stronger the memory. How to strengthen the connection? Repeat it.

If you’re trying to learn how to dance, your brain will recognize patterns. Then as you repeat them, the memory sticks more.
So, to improve your memory of something, find the correct way to do it, and just repeat that over and over again. Whether it’s reading it, doing it, or simply replaying it in your head.
There’s a direct correlation between how much you repeat it, and how much you remember it. Like, if you go to a place once, you don’t recall the directions. But if you go 10 times, of course you’ll remember.
So, if you don’t remember something, you simply didn’t repeat it enough.
If you’re learning a new language, presentation skill, or video games.
Or you want to keep a skill fresh in your mind as you grow older.
You need to spend more time in that activity.
Your brain is working even though you don’t notice it. And eventually, you’ll have the memory of it stuck with you forever.
Action: Look at all the memories or talents you want to learn and remember.
What’s one thing need to do more repetitions for?
