Breathe through your nose

Breathe through your nose

Why it's important: Breathing through your nose allows you to use oxygen more efficiently, inflate your lungs more, moisturize the air you take in, increase blood flow, and increase relaxation.

How to do it: This is one of those things that you just need to be aware during the day. Whenever you notice yourself breathing with your mouth, pause, and switch to slow nasal breathing.

It'll only take a few seconds to get the new sense of energy and relaxation. If that doesn't encourage you enough, check out the before and after pictures of people who switched from mouth to nasal breathing. It changes your whole face aesthetic.

Take a deep nasal breath now if possible. It's good for you physically and mentally.

Here is the full explanation from the podcast and the supplemental book "Jaws" that Andrew used to research.
